Is a 500W psu enough to power an amd fx 8320 with a hyper 212 evo, an msi gtx 970, and 6 case fans?

All that's in my rig and recently my system has been shutting off randomly so I'm wondering if the power supply is the problem?? thanks

Hi to all... thought id add my advise, I think maybe your pushing it with only a 500w psu...I'm a big believer in over doing it with psu as it is the main component that drives all of the other components in your system, with out it nothing works or a worst you can fry things in your system ...I would recommend a good quality psu like xfx or seasonic (other makes are available check out some forums) with 650 -850w psu, sound like over kill, but they will only be ticking over to power your system and will supply the exact power you components need when they need it, ie when oc'ing gpu or cpu ...also giving you lots of upgrade room for sli or more fans, case led's, water pumps etc and you never have to worry again if your psu has enough power, my xfx 850 has been In four builds and still going strong...think of it like a cars engine, if you drive sensibly every day it will last years , but if you drive it at max rpm all day every day it simply wont last as long,..pouf goes you engine/ pc
only my opinion hope this is use full

In terms of pure wattage consumption yes which is hypothetical once you start using your PC for more than 6 hours a day.
Hey, but we always have options when it comes to PC building don't we?
For some couple extra $ you can get 600 Watt 80+ Bronze modular PSU of good brands.
