Ever since I built my computer I have been having problems with freezes and crashes. (I built my pc about a Year ago.) I have been trying to find a source to these freezes which usually take a couple minutes to finish. I believe I have found the source but sadly lack the knowledge to know how to fix it. Upon closer inspection I have noticed that it is always the second core of my cpu that spikes up to 100% usage and stays there until the freeze is over. This might be a heating issue and if that is the case I have bought a 212 evo already. When my pc freezes the screen will completely stop and the most recent audio will studder very slowly forwards. I had this problem with my previous processor as well so its not faulty hardware unless im really unlucky. Here are my specs and any help is greatly appreciated!

i5 4670k 3.5 GHz (Not overclocked)

AMD R9 270x 2 GB

8 GB or Mushkin Redline Enhanced RAM

1 TB of Storage

Non genuine (read pirated) versions can't be relied upon to function 100%, there's always something done to them that is deeply embedded in the system and most of the time have to send data to extend "trial period".
Yes, by real stuff, only than you have something to base complaints on !

Possible, power supply issue, either not big enough, or it is too old. Cheap supplies will really start to lag behind in power output after as little as 200 hrs of run time. Another thing could be faulty ram. I have run corsair on mine for years myself. I tried mushkin and other strange brands before and had the same problems you're having, I've also had power supplies cause it. Check your voltage levels in your bios screen and or,with a utility like speed can or the software that your mobo maker may have sent with your mobo...(motherboard) if it's below like 11.7 volts on the 12 volt rail, labeled 12V , it is most likely time for a new or bigger supply.
