I'm looking for a cheap GPU around $200 that can possibly push out 2k resolution but at least 1080p.

I'm new to PC gaming and am moving from a PS4 console and I have started a Build for my first gaming PC. I am planning on using a AMD FX-850 Vishera 8 core @ 4.0-4.2Ghz
Or a FX-6300 6 core @ 3.5-4.1Ghz processor on a MSI 990FXA-GD65V2 motherboard paired with dual channel Crucial Ballistix tactical 16Gb (2x8) Ram @ 1600Mhz.

I would like to use the FX-6300 if the Graphic card could pull the rest of the weight but will get the FX-8350 of it is needed to push a smooth 60 fps without too much strain on the system. Would prefer high detail settings to be possible but don't need it to be ultra detail.

Solution
There are no 200 dollar cards that will push 60 fps at 1440p, and probably not even at 1080p Ultra on really demanding titles. At medium or high settings, depending on the game, sure. This is about the best 200 dollar card you're going to find.

Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 380X 4GB DD XXX OC Video Card ($209.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $209.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Solution
Hi Kyle. Since you mentioned that you're new to PC gaming and creating a new rig, I suggest that you consider creating an additional message post in the "Systems" forum. You can state what you're trying to accomplish, along with your budget, and ask for suggestions on builds. I'm pretty sure that there is a verbose sticky post on relevant information that you can include. Just be aware if you say something like "I want a 4K 60 FPS computer for $600" you may receive some colorful responses. We all love helping others spend their money on computer components.

IF it's a quality power supply, 500w is plenty for the 380x, however, overclocking of the CPU is going to drive up the requirements for capacity, so if you're also overclocking the CPU 550w is a safe bet. If you give us your budget, as mentioned, we'd be better able to help you find the best system for your investment. Knowing what country you're in and any parts you have already and won't need such as keyboard, mouse, monitor, operating system, etc. would be a good thing to know as well.
