PC Specs:
Intel i5 4690K
Sapphire R9 290TriXX
MSI Z97 PCMate
Corsair CX750M
WD Blue 2GB

After a little while of playing on csgo my pc crashes, I played with the side panel off and the window open (very cold) and didn't have any crashed till the window was closed later.

Sometimes it turns off and doesn't boot up but I can hear system is on and fans are really loud, sometimes it boots off and boots on again.

Solution
random reboots are usually the power supply. if it happens mostly when gaming then I would suggest a new power supply. When gaming the power supply is under much stress, from video card and CPU usage, if this is when the reboot happens the power supply is suspect.
I have a cx600M and: Bad News: the cx series has a high failure rate Good News:3 yr warranty.

Would I need some sort of code? I don't have anything left from the purchase other than the psu and purchase history on amazon - I've never done a warranty claim before

amazon will have a record of the purchase as well as the date of purchase. (date of purchase determines the three years start date)You'll need a copy of the reciept/order form to send back with the power supply, express replacement is available for a price (they send you new one, put it in and then send in old one) to minimize downtime.
everything you need should be available in your amazon account order history.

I found a printable invoice that has date of purchase billing address and last 3 digits of card + name of product -- Where do I show this?
http://www.corsair.com/en-us/company/contact or amazon?

edit: Are you certain it's the power supply before I go through all this effort?

Certain. no.
ive been a pc tech for 17 years and reboots while the system is under stress usually point to a power supply failure. Coupled to the reputation of the cx series (I am using one right now FYI) that likelyhood increases a bit. playing the odds here.

you said the system remained stable when the case was open. did you feel any of the compponents after the reboot to find the hottest spot? (ground yourself first by touching a bare part of the case) airflow/lack of in the case could be overheating the PSU causing the reboots, or the videocard could be overheating.

if in doubt, before you go through with the return, remove the GPU from the system and try to game, I know the onboard is a joke but we are trying to force the reboot. if you get a reboot without the GPU then the GPU is good and the power supply the problem. if the system maintains stability then the GPU is at fault.
let me know
