I have 3.0 on the back, but no headers inside for the case. Every PCIe card has equally terrible reviews as it does good reviews, and some say certain cards don't get full speed. Do any of you have any good/bad experiences with a PCIe card?
So how would one add 3.0 headers? My motherboard is out of date already (got it $30 clearance). Should I just scrap that one when I find a good deal on another? If I didn't spend $25 on the card, I would only be spending ~$25 more on the new board. That's an option for me.
Personally (using an non 3.0 board) I bought a 3.0 to 2.0 adapter.
I dont need the extra speeds on my front panel 3.0 connections, so I adapted them down to a 2.0 internal header so they would at least work with my motherboard.

That's actually a good idea. For me it would be a short-term fix, though. I have 3.0 devices and the money to upgrade what I need to, so I might as well be up-to-date! I'm keeping your adapter in mind though!
