but if the inspiron you have has an i5 you could easily get a better gaming computer out of it if you buy a larger 500+ Watt power supply and get a better gpu.

Just a suggestion

Hi guys, thank you for the quick responses, the real problem was that it fit and my model does not have a 6 PIN connector, the problem is that my motherboard is not recognizing the card and not starting the os. I'm stuck in bios windows 7 any solutions would be very helpful!

I wish I had a solution for you, Dell really doesn't like their customers modifying their hardware. I once bought a dell cpu and motherboard from someone only to find out that nothing could be installed using non dell hardware. It wouldn't even work with ARCH linux, and at that point I just gave up.

What GPU were you running before. If it was onboard graphics, you need to make changes in the BIOS to run PCIe. Did you remove the drivers for the old GPU before you swapped cards ( this includes on board GPU). Do you have the latest BIOS from Dell support? Is your Video Card EUFI, or AHCI BIOS compatible? This needs to match your computer BIOS. Find out from Dell which BIOS type you have. None of these issues are specific to Dell. But Dell can be less than helpful when asked about aftermarket parts. Dell Community Forum offers better support for enthusiasts even though it's moderated by Dell employees.
