So a few months ago I was dusting my PC using a gas duster, was cleaning my GPU when the gas condensed and it sprayed onto the GPUs PCB and evaporated again instantly and i didnt think anything of it. Fast forward a few months to now and there's patches of dust stuck to the residue of whatever gas is inside of the can (tetrafluoroethene iirc)

Which brings me to the question of how the heck do I clean this off without wrecking my GPU

Solution
isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush

FYI - don't use methyl alcohol / methyl hydrate / methanol, it leaves weird white flakey residue around the solder areas. plain isopropyl (70% to 99%) is the best idea
^ Either that or electrical contact cleaner.

You should be able to find IPA in a drug store (also Chemists or Pharmacy, depending on your location), sometimes it's called rubbing Alcohol or Surgical Spirit as well, it's the stuff they rub on your arm before giving you an injection. Be VERY, VERY careful how you use it, a toothbrush is probably safest, cloths or cotton buds can catch on the solder joints, potentially causing damage or leaving behind fibre residue.

Contact cleaner is available in some automotive (car) accessories/spares shops or electrical parts dealers. Just take out the card, spray the effected areas and let the stuff evaporate.
