i have a western digital passport 250gb external hdd and can i convert it to an internal hard drive for my old laptop?

Hi there macbandril,

You should really keep in mind that:
- This drive features hardware encryption. In case you have data stored on it, you need to back it up before taking the drive out of the enclosure. Otherwise, you will not be able to access it.
- Taking the drive out of the enclosure will void the warranty.
- In case the drive has proprietary connectors, you may not be able to attach it to SATA as well.
