BIOS & Windows cannot detect hard drive.

I just bought a brand new Seagate ST1000DM003 1TB & both the BIOS & Windows cannot detect it, however many data recovery software were able to detect it, the only problem is that they're not showing the correct volume of the drive.
I've already tried to connect it with another cable & port but nothing happens.

Does anybody have any suggestion?

My specs:
ASUS M5A97 R2.0
2 8GB Kingston HyperX DDR3
MSI Radeon R9 270 GAMING 2G
AMD FX 6300
Corsair TX650

At first, check if you have connected power & sata cable. Go to Windows' Device manager and if it shows up, download Seagate's DiscWizard. Click Add disc and select the drive, then you'll be able to create a partition with the volume of your drive. When you create this, it'll show in windows.

Thank you, it works.
Just curious, does every Seagate internal drive need this Seagate DiscWizard to add disc, cause WD seems to run straight out of the box.

No problem, had quite the same problem myself when I installed my new system and i figured it out :)
