I've checked google and YouTube for an overclocking guide but unfortunately I was unable to find one. This leads me here asking for help.

My motherboard (a GA-z77-DS3H), does not have an option to modify Vcore. From what the internet has told me, this severely limits my overclocking options. My question is, how high can I set the clock multiplayer without causing instability or permanent damage to my i7 3770k? I am worried that I won't be able to get a half-decent overclock before before having artifacts showing up.

Any help is appreciated, and sorry if this is a unanswerable question, I just really don't want to break my CPU.

There's no way to know how high your cpu can handle and there shouldn't be any worry on damaging it. Some people said they still got to 4.5 on that mobo and that's normal. Just watch the vcore when you test.
