mouse and keyboard not working at login, cant access safe mode because of bios utility

Hello, I've had some problems with my computer lately. The mouse and keyboard has stopped working at the login in screen. I've tried everything, gone through many of the related problems people have had. The thing I found most common that helped people was to disable some xhci shit, in the bios utility thing. It didn't work. I'm not so good with computers, neither do I know anyone who are, so there is no point of telling me to remove some hardware, hd card etc. I have Windows 8.1 and for some reason when I want to get in to advanced boot options ( where safe start and default start etc is ) it opens the bios utility. Since I cannot log on to the pc, I can't open it or enable it from there. My keyboard works in or at boot up, so I can spam f8, but then BIOS Utilty comes up, not advanced options, or safe mode. Please try to help an fellow mate in need :(

Having the same problem. Have you fixed it yet? If so, tell me how you did please, this is really annoying me :(

But if you haven't I have a few solutions that you can try (i've tried some but no luck)

-Disconnect power cord from computer, press power button after unplugging the system to make sure that the Power Supply fully gets discharged and doesn't have any power left in it, open up your computer, you should see a small silver battery connected to the motherboard, it looks like a calculator battery almost, take out the battery, wait a few seconds or minutes and put it back in, close your computer and replug it, turn it on and your computer's BIOS might come up with a message saying that it has been reset or you have to set the date and time. Do whatever it says, see if it works, I know you said that you dont want to be told to remove hardware inside the computer, but this is one of the most easiest pieces of hardware you can remove inside a PC
-Try doing a system restore or go to the recovery options menu screen and refresh your pc and see if it works

I can't guarantee this will work, but it might. Give it a try, I have the same problem right now :/
