I recently installed an NVidia GTX 750ti in my system.
Quite a low end system as it is an upgraded dell Inspiron 660 (core i3 2120, 8gb RAM, SSD)
Since the GPU install, when I boot the PC it beeps, once, then waits 30 seconds, beeps again, then one more time, then Windows boots.
If I take back out the GPU the systems boots in 20 seconds
My questions is, is it just because it's a dell mobo and they don't want you putting after market parts in? Or is there more of a problem?

Thanks

Solution
with the gpu chec kto see if yours needs any power some have 6 pin on the edge that hidden. if the gpu is misisng that extra power it wont post. on the dell mb see if you can find any bios updates to see if it a bios bug.

Once I added the NVidia GTX750ti I had the identical issue, however my PC is a very high end PC. The Gagabyte screen took over a minute before the Windows splash screen started and I had the same 3 beeps about 30 seconds apart.

Some prior ideas:

1. make sure your power supply watts is high enough.
2. make sure you don't have conflicting NVidia GeeForce drivers. ( I had a prior GeeForce video card)

As it turned out neither of the above fixed the problem. For my PC the problem was the Gigabyte Bios had not been updated in years. Bios updated...now the Gigabye shows about 5-10 seconds before going to the Windows 7 splash screen.
