Worth getting new power supply for r9 380

Looking to upgrade my r7 265 and was wondering if I should get the gtx 960 or r9 380. I currently have a 500 watt psu which is enough for the 960 but not for the r9 380. Should I spend a bit more for the 380? My power supply is an EVGA 500 b.

R9 380 rather than 960
I ran a r9 290 on that same power supply . I suggest that amd gpu and try it on the psu. Doesn't boot or you have issues then upgrade .I highly doubt you'll need to
