i'll be using the cards for gaming.

The 960 will give you better frame rates at higher settings.

Definitely the 960. It's a much more powerful card. And while you're at it, I definitely think you should spend the extra cash for a 4GB VRAM Version of the 960. Games nowadays rely heavily on VRAM (Especially games like GTA V.)
