Cheapest decent z series 1155 mobo

i have a 2500k laying around and im like 99%sure its the board thats dead so im trying to find a board that i can overclock with (ie z) but thats hella cheap

There are none. The only available NEW Z series boards still being sold for LGA 1155 are the ASRock extreme4 and pro4. The extreme4 is around 136 bucks. The only other boards available new are all Intel boards. Nobody else is still selling LGA 1155 Z series boards new. Even used ones on ebay are WAY overpriced. Either fork out 136 bucks for the extreme4 or save the money towards a newer configuration unless you can get lucky finding something that actually works and is used on ebay. Personally, I wouldn't trust or touch any of those used boards as far as I could throw the person selling them.


The extreme4 is fairly decent, all things considered, and overclocks acceptably well. There are no "hella cheap" options for older hardware that...
