Whats wrong with this setup, in terms for gaming?

I have a 2 TB hard drive, 8 gigabytes of DDR3 ram, an Intel i7 5500U and a nVidia GTX 930m. But when I try to run a game, such as FIFA 15, it runs with frequent lag spikes and audio stuttering. The CPU usage also spikes and I have yet to test the GPU. If i was to upgrade one part what should it be?

well if you're running this game at high settings it'll need quad core cpu ( well ... it does any ways ) ,, it's a hard game man ,, try putting some settings on low

yeah i tried that but it didn't make any difference. Is the GPU the problem?

maybe , after all it's a notebook so don't expect that much out of it
