Do i need to clean the CPU even if i'm using the pre-applied thermal paste from the Intel stock HS?

Hey, guys! :)

I plan on switching my CPU cooler soon -- and would like to know if i still need clean the CPU even if i used the stock Intel heatsink which comes with pre-applied thermal paste on itself. I'm guessing i don't since i didn't put any thermal paste on the CPU itself as the heatsink already came with it.

But, you never know right?

Yes you will need to clean it off the CPU before putting the new cooler on.

The original paste from the original heatsink is spooged all over the CPU. Clean completely.
