:p Well, a bit more more than that. But since I swapped my graphics card into my newly built Intel PC, I'm looking for a very cheap old graphics card to put into my old AMD PC; the dual-core AMD processor is from circa 2006 and I've purchased a potentially combustible secondhand Chinese generic 400w power supply unit for £10 (it does have a little "ASUS" sticker on the side though, so I'm guessing it came from an ASUS branded machine).

The old machine is still a little bit too good to throw away (4GB's of OCZ ram, genuine Windows 7 installed, DVD RW) and it just needs a graphics card to be good enough for light use, but I think it's too old to be worth upgrading - if I put in a "real" graphics card it would need a much better CPU to complement it, and then I'd need to put it a decent PSU to make sure it didn't all get fried - escalating (or snowballing) costs.

I don't know a lot about graphics cards, I judge them by the year they were made and how much memory they have, and whether they have a fan or not. Any suggestions; something around the £10 - £15 mark on eBay? I think I should install something that doesn't draw much power so I don't push the cheap PSU past it's limit.

AMD HD5450 is decent low voltage card, will never break speed records, but good enough for HD1080 video playback, if you need a little more grunt, go for the HD5750.

Dirt cheap on ebay.
