WD Hard disk is responding very slow after falling. How to back up data?

My "WD My Passport Hard Disk" fell down and now its very slow. I have created RMA. Now i need to submit the device. But its very difficult for me to take the backup for me as it is responding very slow, for 1 GB data it is showing 1 day.

Is there any alternative for this to take the back up?

That is really unpleasant. :(
It seems that the drive has sustained some physical damage.

Despite the fact that the backing up process is taking long, my suggestion would be to go with that option.
Your other one would be to use some data recovery software. My guess would be that that would will take long as well.

Unfortunately not. There is only one other way to get data off the drive which is sending it for professional data recovery. This is often very expensive. Next time, take regular backups of all your drives to stop a situation like this from happening again.
