Would a Cat6 Ethernet Cable Bottleneck?

I am planning to purchase a 100FT Ethernet Cable to go from my Router to my desktop in a room pretty far away. I have decided to go with Cat6 pretty much because its only a few dollars difference between Cat5, cat5e, and Cat6. The question is would it bottleneck? My board is a z97-ar and it says 1000Mbps ethernet. Is that what it means? I could get 1000Mbps internet speed? But if it was trueful, my Router is a Belkin AC750 (routers don't have affect on Ethernet right?). But I have Charter Spectrum Cable Internet. What would be the fastest speed I could get from them? And will my router even support Cat6 (1000Mbps) speeds? Thanks so much for your time.

If that is what you pay for, that is what you (theoretically) will get, talking to the outside world.
Depending, of course, on what the server you're talking to can do.

You won't automagically get 1000mbps internet.

You will get 1000mbps between you, the router, and all other devices in your house.
From your ISP, you get what you pay for.

For instance...
I have 50/50 fiber connection from Verizon FiOS.

Inside my house, I get 1000mbps between all the hardwired devices. Like my pc to the house server/HTPC. Cat5e and relevant switches throughout, etc.
Talking to the outside world, I get ~55mbps through Verizon.
