so a few days ago i got an new cpu cooler (coolermaster hyper 212 evo). my computer was working fine until i changed my cooler. we i tryed to start my coputer all the fans and lights inside my case worked fine but nothing happend on my screens so i changed back to my old cpu cooler and then it started working again. at this point i calls support to se what could be the fault. all they said what to change back to the hyper evo and se if it worked again, but it was all the same again. we tryed to reset CMOS but nothing worked so we changed back to the old stock cooler again and reseted cmos and it turned on. what can be tha case? those the backplate short my motherboard? can i try to buy and new hyper evo 212?

Solution
When you attach the cooler are you doing it to screw tight, or are you trying to get it as tight as you can, many people try and overtighten which can throw the CPU off

I have this cooler and never had any issues, perhaps you installed it improperly or perhaps it is simply incompatible with your board and by that i mean Yes it could cause a short if any part of the metal is touching things it shouldn't be touching...
