Hey Tomshardware!

Ever since I have updated to Windows 10's latest update some of my Laptop keys on the keyboard stopped working occasionally. The keys in question are: o, p, l, . and 9 - they work often, but sometimes they just stop working.

It feels as if these keys have lag within Windows itself, because they sometimes just appear multiple times or not even at all. No, I haven't spilled anything onto the keyboard whatsoever.. it seems to be more of a hardware or driver problem, but I can't figure out the reason.

My Laptop is an Acer Aspire V3-771g

Thanks in advance! :)

You can take a look into your products support page, here, [Notebook>Aspire>Aspire V3-771g] and see that it does not have support from Acer with drivers meant for Windows 10. You should downgrade to your older OS and the issue should be averted. If you're interested in working with Windows 10 then you will need to go into Device Manager and remove your keyboard and the scan for hardware changes and see if the issue is averted.

If the issue became apparent after a mandatory windows update took place then try and perform a system restore prior to the point before the update took place. You can likewise try a repair install.
