I play wow/heroes of the storm/diablo and now all of a sudden i get huge lag spikes on everything but wow. I ran the can you run it and it says my cpu is under powered. I have intel pentium e5300 @2.60 Ghz wolfdale 45nm tech cpu. 6 Gb duel channel DDR2 for RAM. Pegatron coporation Benicia CPU 1 for motherboard and i just put a Geforce 730 GT graphic card in about 4 months ago. What cpu upgrade can i do on this motherboard or any other suggestions?

Even if you could put a Core2Duo E8500 or even a quad in there, you would still get lag in Diablo 3. The Core2 CPUs may have been great in their day but modern Intel CPUs are 60-70% faster clock-for-clock.
If you upgrade the CPU though, you will quickly find out that your GPU is also a substantial bottleneck.
I personally wouldn't sink any more money in such an ancient system. Instead of a GT730, I would have bought a 750Ti in preparation for a new CPU+MoBo+RAM.

That is a personal preference. Personally, I alternate between GPU, CPU/MoBo/RAM and other upgrades, shifting the parts I can reuse to my older PCs - I prefer spending $200-300/year on my PC than do a ~$1000 upgrade in one shot.
