Hello community,

when I started playing CS:GO, I had everything on low, just because I wanted to have as many FPS as Is possible. It was about 100-130FPS

After like 3 months, I've tried to set everything on high. I've had like 100-120, but after like 10 minutes, my game froze and I got 200fps, I think that processor got automaticly overclocked.

Ok, that's nice. But I want to get the processor overlocked on low settings too.

But I think, that my PC thinks, that It doesn't need to overclock.

Is there any way to tell the processor to overclock, when an application starts?

Because when I overclock it by some program, my PC shuts down, because I don't have water cooling. But when I have everything on high, my PC doesn't shut down, even when I overclock everything.

CPU: AMD FX-6300
GPU: Nvidia GTX 750Ti
MB: ASRock 980DE3U3S3

Oh okay. So you're saying you don't have an overclock? Turbo is different to overclocking, by the way. Have a little read of this:

Maybe your next step is to get a better cooler. You don't exactly need liquid cooling. I use a "tower" style cooler like this:

Do you mean when the CPU turbos? If so, the clock speed will automatically go up when it goes under a load. The higher the load, the higher the turbo will be. The only thing you can do with this is have it on or off, you can change this in the BIOS.

Hello Sammy, thanks for an answer.

But as I said, I don't have a water cooling. So when I set the processor on like 3,8GHZ stable. My PC crashes. Reason: Too high temperature of CPU.

Nice, but sadly. I already got one installed... "ARCTIC Freezer 13". :p
