Extremely irritated as none of the million solutions I have tried works. So here's the situation. My computer loses its connection daily as part of the IP Address lease thing and quickly gets it back after it receives a new IP. But today, as I am given a new IP or maybe not, my computer or the router no longer connect to each other via ethernet (I am using wifi at the moment). I've turned router on and off a million times, reset it to factory settings, tried different ethernet ports. Uninstalled and reinstalled ethernet controller, smashed some commands into command prompt and still no connection. What is going on? Please help otherwise I may destroy my router and pc by the time I find a solution

You "uninstalled and reinstalled the ethernet controller" - meaning the hardware or hardware and drivers. Are the drivers current?

Did you try swapping out the ethernet cables for known working cables?

Do you have permanent ethernet wiring installed: i.e., from a punch down panel to wall jacks?

Have you called your ISP and asked them to check the connectivity up to your modem or modem-router?

Do you have admin access and rights to the router?
