Hey guys, im able to get a gtx 770 from a friend of mine for 160 euros my current gpu it's a r9 270x msi hawk, she can still play everything on high with decent fps, with some struggle sometimes.

That said, do you think it's a good upgrade? or should i stay with the r9 until the new 2016 cards come out?

I would not upgrade to a 7xx card at this time. Go with the 9xx or 3xx cards otherwise wait for new cards.

ty for the reply

1920x1080p, game wise, i just want to be able to almost max or max any new game that's coming out on 2016 and im not sure i will be able to do that with my r9, been playing fallout 4 with some mods and sometimes i get 5/10 fps on some areas.

What CPU are you using? And your PSU make/model?

FX 8350, with a CM Hyper 212 EVO, so i can overclock it if needed and a XFX Pro 550w Core edition.

Similar to one of my machines, FX-8350/212 EVO/R9-290 (reference)
Good solid basic gamer with a good quality XFX PSU. 550W is a bit under-powered for the GTX 770 and the OC'ed FX-8350, tho. Usually a 600W or better is recommended. However, the XFX is a under-rated unit. It's stronger than most.

Yeah ;) i did my research before making this build . Also had my doubts about the Psu power if i were to upgrade to the 770, do you think it can still handle it? Don't want her to fail me when the gpu is under load!
