Hi all!

I am experimenting very slow transfer rate between my laptop (it's a corporate laptop branded hp with windows 7 enterprise on it) and my personal external hard drive (toshiba canvio basic 500gb with usb 3.0).
The hard drive is encrypted with bit locker due corporate restrictions.

I searched widely on internet and tried any kind of solution but nothing worked.
When I try to transfer a folder of about 1.5gb I get an eta of about 20 hours (if the parameters does not stuck on "calculating" ...).

The very strange thing for me is that I get good transfer rates of about 100 MB/s when I test with a benchmark tool (FleshBench).

Please ask for any further detail, thank you!

Hi there gianccc,

The thing is that transfer speed could be affected by many things.
Have you tried transferring one big file instead of many small ones? You can see if single 1GB file would transfer at normal speed.
Apart from that, you can try the following things:
- Defragment both your internal and external drives.
- Test both drives: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility
- Try the drive on a different computer or use a different external drive in order to narrow down the possibilities of what is causing this.

Let me know how this goes,
