I was thinking of building a budget gaming computer with an AMD A10-7850K CPU and I want know if I build a computer 8GB of system RAM will I be able to play games that require 8GB of RAM with the Integrated R7 Graphics; I thought that the integrated graphics took some system RAM and used it as VRAM correct? So shouldn't I need more than 8GB of system RAM to play games that require 8GB of RAM with the Integrated R7 Graphics. (I've seen many benchmarks where their system had 8GB of system RAM and could run games like Falout 4 using the Integrated Graphics.)

Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jDvYEPJUP8

*EDIT: Also what is the maximum RAM speed this processor supports and how many RAM channels does it support. What pin connectors do I need to use this processor (I read that the FX-8350 needs a 1x8 pin to work properly so what does this one need)

Solution
The integrated graphics does take system ram as vram, but it will most likely be 1gb-2gb and most games wont use 8gb of system ram. The 8gb recommended is for the entire system, and even with a stronger gpu that doesnt use system memory it still usually doesnt go above 4-5gb at least for me. So even with the integrated gpu using 1gb or 2 doesnt mean u will run out of ram for the rest of the system, Windows uses usually somewhere near 1-2gb of ram and the rest is left for applications, so if windows uses 2gb and igpu for some reaosn uses 2gb, the game is left with 4gb which is more than enough.

The A10 and FX platform uses dual channel DDR3, but a single stick will work, two stick, three sticks, and four will work. one stick will be...

The 1x8pin is the power connector from the power supply that gives the cpu the power it needs to operate, this is a block style connector that comes from the power supply and plugs into the motherboard, normally at the top of the board near the cpu. This some times can be a 4 pin connector, and doesnt require a 8pin. If the board is a 8pin cpu connector and the power supply is only 4, using that will work no problem. If it is only a 4 pin and the power supply is a 8pin then most likely it is a 4+4pin that can split to a 4 pin if not then dont buy that power supply or board. The FX 8350 and A10 both will need the 1x8 pin, or 1x4+4 pin or 1x4 pin for cpu power, has nothing to do with the ram.

Will this PSU Work? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-100w10500kr[/b]
Also what your saying means I can play games that require 8GB of RAM with a 8GB stick of RAM with my CPU and its iGPU? And I can use 4 sticks of RAM with my CPU and use all of them to their effectiveness?

psu will work fine

most games recommend 8gb of ram but do not require it. No game out right now will use 8gb of system ram. AM3+ and FM2+ so the A10 and FX can use 4 sticks of ram at once with a maximum of 64gb of ram so 4x16gb sticks of ram.

Will I be able to add a high end GPU with this PSU (980ti?); I picked this with the 500W minimum on most high-end GPU's in mind (I would like to upgrade while buying the least amount of unnecessary components)

But will it be able to support any high end cards and if so whats the highest tier it can support?

650watt should be fine for a single mainstream cpu like an fx or a10, and a high end single gpu like the 980ti or amd Fury x/390x. a high end system like this will probably pull around 400-500 watts from the wall so 650watts should be enough, 500 is probably cutting it close.

Tell me why should I buy anything more than a 500W, the PC can't pull out too much more than it specifies or it will fry no?

It isnt smart for the longevity of the power supply to run it near 100% capacity, it could burn it up and possible take hardware with it. The power supply is very overlooked when building a system, if a psu dies it can take everything or nothing with it, its not worth the risk. Also the 80+ efficiency system works better when the psu is under roughly 50-60% load.

I really don't want to make it any more expensive but I think I'll go with the EVGA G2 since it has the fully modular cables

if price is an issue a bronze rated psu will work, but the evga g2 is a good psu.

Case wise anything that u look the appearance of and comes with at least two 120mm or bigger fans. Something that costs roughly at least $60-100 made by corsair, nzxt, fractal, cooler master, cougar, phanteks, silverstone. the corsair air 240/540 have good airflow, fractal node 804 as the case is separated into compartments that leave airflow right over the main components. But unless the case has no fans or lots of stuff in the way it will barely effect cpu temps.

it should as long as ur internet connection can saturate the usb 1.0 data transfer, that being usb2.0 would be better as it allows more data to transfer and more bandwidth. Also most usb 1 wifi adapters probably are not 802.11n.

The adapter wont give u better internet as u pay for what u get, so its not like it will make it faster unless u had it in a usb1.0 port instead of a usb2.0 port, but will not make a big difference

any new AC wireless adapter will work no problem, as it will use the ac on ur router, but wireless is still fine i still use wireless n and n wifi adapters. To get better connectivity to the internet with a wireless, a good router and wifi adapter is need to best broadcast distance and signal.

Isn't b/a/g/n/ac compatible with b, a, g, n, and ac?

well ac is backwards compatible with the rest but if you have a ac router and a b adapter will work at b speeds, and a b router will work with a ac adapter at b speeds, so i guess they are compatible, but its wasteful at that point, but N and AC are not that different for most people.

It also matters on the model of the adapter, as N150 is the slowest and it goes up to N900, and the number is the speed bandwidth across the amount of bands the router/adapter has.
