Is there any way to hook up a outdoor long range wireless adapter (usb) to a wifi extender? My neighbour has graciously offered to share her internet with me. I can quite nicely pick up her signal from my home, but am limited in connecting one laptop at a time, and certainly no wireless devices. I would like to bring the signal into the house and re-broadcast it within.

The one you linked is a 5Ghz. That works good if you use a pair of them outside. But if you are trying to pickup the existing signal you need a 2.4Ghz. Engenius does make one -- The EnStation2 rather than the EnStation5 -- http://www.amazon.ca/EnStation2-IEEE-802-11n-Wireless-Bridge/dp/B00OJZPNG8/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1451958930&sr=1-2&keywords=enstation2

Sorry to bother, but I'm having a bit of difficulty setting up the components. I got the engenius unit you linked, and I have a tplink router. I've set the engenius as a bridge ( and it sees the neighbours wifi). The router I have set as an access point, but it doesn't see the signal from the bridge.
Did I miss something?

Cheers

The signal from the bridge would be coming in on the ethernet cable. Start by hooking a laptop to the Engenius and see if you can connect. If so then put the TP-Link in the middle -- still all wired. If you can connect then verify wireless.

I discovered the issue - When I would configure the Engenius and assign the role of bridge, and configure the neighbour's network info, I would click "accept", but didn't realize that there was a " save" button elsewhere. Long story short - all the configuration was never saved when I disconnected and plugged the Engenius into the router.

Works well now. Wouldn't have been able to do it without your guidance - Thanks so much!
