I just posted a thread like 5 min ago, but I had a different question :p

ANyways, so I'm trying to narrow down my PC budget, and I wanted to ask what the recommendations for VRAM would be. I have a gaming laptop, but this is for a Desktop. My laptop has two GTX 970M 3GB in SLI, so it's "amazing" I don't run many huge titles, the only ones being the Borderlands series, Souls series, Payday 2, and CoD World at War. I'm fine with toni.ng down graphics on most of those, but I love having my Borderlands games running on full 1920x1080, Highest graphics settings plus High PhysX. What GPU should I get, VRAM wise? I'm not sure if 3GB is enough, or if I should go with more.

Solution
Borderlands is CPU intensive. So if you don't have a good CPU then Borderlands might not run that well.

But 2GB is plenty for those games.

Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 950 2GB Video Card ($149.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $149.99

Oh wow I actually didn't know that. Good thing too, since I've got a i7-5820K picked out :). Still wanna get a lot of VRAM for the novelty, but maybe later. If 2GB is enough, then that'll definitely help my budget.
