Is it good for gaming

Solution
Well, it depends on type of games you want to play and your monitor's resolution. Some casual and not demanding games like Gang Beasts, Space Rangers etc. will do just fine with GT730, whilst feature-packed ones like CoD, Crysis, Witcher and so on will likely to run on minimal settings at 25-35 fps (depending on the screen resolution). The latter is even more important since each step in resolution (i.e. 768p - 900p - 1080p for 16:9 monitors) proposes dramatic increase in the number of pixels and respectively the power of GPU needed to process them.

Therefore, if you plan to play at 1080p even casual games may stress the hell out of GT730. If you indeed want to play at 1080p I would recommend you going to at least GTX 750ti - it...

No, that GPU is very slow, and 1 GB of VRAM will definitely will not be enough for new games (Ex: Call of Duty, Crysis). What you would need for new games would be at least a GTX 960 for 1080P.

If you indeed want to play at 1080p I would recommend you going to at least GTX 750ti - it should run most of the games at close-to-medium settings at around 40-50 fps for 900p/1080p, which is typically comfortable. If, however, your budget is limited, you should probably go for 2gb/4gb versions of GT730 (MSI and Asus surely have such), which may allow you to play a little more comfortable at 900p/1080p, even though with little or no overall performance improvement as compared to 1gb versions due to slow VRAM bandwidth.

Hope this helps.
