Just bought a computer from Best Buy and wanted to upgrade the power supply so I can add in a new GPU. To my surprise the motherboard takes a tenpin power connector with one blank and I have never seen anything like this. I have search the Internet and I am not able to find a solution. Power supply that I purchase is a thermal take 600 W power supply with a 24 pin that has four pins that can be removed. Computer bought is a Lenovo Ideacentre 700. I am actually able to insert the 24 pin on the tenpin and it fits but I have not turned it on to the fact that it can fry the motherboard. Any suggestions?

I've seen some adapters to make standard power supplies work in proprietary systems. There might be some for your computer, but they're not necessarily easy to find. I'll have a look.

Definitely don't try using the 20+4 connector. The pinout is probably different.
