I just got a GTA 5 and my cpu and gpu and ram are not maxed out but when looking at the task manager my disk gets maxed to 100%. I start the game with 100 fps but it drops to 15 then to 60 over and over again making the game unplayable. My question is, What is this disk 0, is it my problem, and if so how do I fix it. I am using windows 8.

Solution
Disk 0 is your system drive(normally, unless you assigned it to something else upon OS load.)

Turn off all search/indexing functions and services.
Then defrag your Hard Drive.
Then you are going to want to set a page file on a separate disk(if you have one): Instructions: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/simple-ways-to-increase-your-computers-performace-configuring-the-paging-file/
After setting up a pagefile then optimize your hard drive: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/improve-performance-optimizing-hard-drive#1TC=t1

Tell us what you getting after doing all of the above.

Cheers,
Cam

PNY GTX 960
6GB RAM
Im not quite sure how to get the full system. If there is specific things you want I can find it for you. Or you can walk me through how to get a full system spec.

Solution
Part of the math here is that you state you have 6Gb of ram.

If that is right then by the time you load windows that sits in system memory all of the time, using up on average about 1.5 to 2Gb.

Leaves you with free system memory for other programs, or games to run with 4Gb.

To check this, what is free after windows OS has loaded into system memory.

Click on start.
All programs.
Accessories.
System tools

And system information.
Look at available system memory and tell us what it says is free in Gb.

If it turns out you do have 4Gb free.

Run Gta 5 in a window other than full screen, set to 640 x 480 resolution or 800 x 600.

Follow the same set of instructions to get to system information.
And read off how much system memory is free when Gta 5 is running.
