such as the highly praised Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo if I have no intention of OCing or playing any intensive games?

CPU is going to be an i5 6600, thanks.

Depends. Looks like the "K" version of the processors do not come with stock coolers. "Non-K" processors seem to have them. If you're not over-clocking and you get a non-K version I5, you shouldn't need a third party cooler. Just check the specs page before clicking "Buy" to make sure.
