Okay, +1 to Chayan4400, you CAN do better. Honestly, going Intel is really the best choice to make since you have roughly $1000 or less that you would like to spend, however, try to go with Haswell as it is much more solid on the terms of price/performance ratio. For example, you can get an i5 4690k, a decent Z97 motherboard for under $150, and some DDR3 RAM which right now is rock-bottom cheap (we're talking $30 for 8GB 1600Mhz). It would save you money and give you your "$1000" gaming experience. I will agree with your choices of GPUs, both the R9 390 and GTX 970 are great choices especially if you pair them up with an overclocked i5 4690k. So, in summary, an i5 4690k + good Z97 motherboard for overclocking your CPU to 4.5Ghz or so +...

I really want the first one because the intel one just doesnt convince me, but do you thinm that if i squeeze the r9 390 in the first one rather than keeping the 970 it improves in editing and gaming?

the fx series is weak, you will bottleneck in some games and get alot less fps drops and stutter if u get the intel build

Hope this helps!

Absolutely no compromises made on any part. This build will easily max out almost any game at 1080p with excellent FPS. It's also overclocking friendly, with a good cooler, overclockable CPU (Technically it's locked but Skylake locked CPUs can be overclocked) and plenty of extra capacity on the PSU. If you have any questions, please do ask!
