Should I also get a medium sized case?

Nope, not gonna work the way you've got it there. To run the 1st generation Intel Core i7-870 CPU ,you need a motherboard with the LGA 1156 socket, an AMD board will not work. Also the CPU does not support ram with a frequency above 1333MHz. I'll suggest trying a build here https://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ which will help with compatibility.

BTW, that's a strange mix-up of parts you got going on there are you working from some used parts?
