So my friends and i went to my friend's house to repair his pc. From what he said, the pc cant even load the bios. My friend took out gpu and use integrated graphics to see if it works. There was 2 power cables, one for monitor, another for pc, but we werent sure which is for which so we just use whichever one. The sparks happened once we on the pc and tv beside it received some damage for some reason.

Any idea what's the cause of it?

the power cables are usually all the same, so don't worry about that
anyway, if that's a generic psu, then most likely is died. that's the problem with these type of psu's-they could just die for no reason relatively quickly. the next you get a psu, make sure its a good on. you could refer here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
also, check to see if any of your other components are damaged.
