So a few things:
- You've plugged the GTX 960 into the PCIE slot, connected the necessary 6-pin PCIE cable and connected an HDMI/DVi-D cable to the GPU
- You basically changed the BIOS settings for graphics/display from iGPU to PCIE
- You've uninstalled any older driver, preferably using DDU so every registry file is removed
- You've installed the latest driver from Nvidia's website

Is your PSU sufficient for the GPU? Which power supply is it?

Just to add you've also plugged a power lead into the '960 from the PSU?

Sorry for the very late reply since i solved this problem a long time ago.. it was a pci-e slot problem..thats why it wont post..i think the slot was loose or dirty since its been empty for quite sometime

Ok, and yeah it could literally be everything. Personal help is always better than trying to give advice over a forum. There's only as far as you can go with online help. Good you know what's going on though, and perhaps have fixed it too.
