Hello guys

Recently I built my new rig:

CPU: i5 6600k
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming
RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR4 2400MHz CL15 16Gb
MOBO: Gigabyte D3H Z170
PSU: Thermaltake Smart SE 530W
Cooling: SPC Fortis 3
OS: Win 10 Education

The issue is my games like Arma 3[mostly], Fallout 4, Witcher 3 crash my PC (screen freezes, i hear buzzing sound and all i can do is shutting down PC with power button) after applying OC to my CPU. I overclocked CPU in both Gigabyte's EasyTune and BIOS ( tried LLC to auto, normal and high). On stock clock it runs all good. I thought that i set not enough voltage but PC crashed even at 4.2GHz 1.38 Vcore and it still pass IBM test on maximum stress level or P95 with 4.4GHz 1.35Vcore for serval hours with Heaven Benchmark running. This is giving me a huge headache, i ran out ideas because it seems like OC is the issue but at the same time it isnt. Funny thing is Arma 3 uses like 40% of my GPU and CPU. Temperatures are fine, usually around 45C while playing. I recently upgraded from 8Gb to 16Gb of ram and freezes seem to happen even more often right now. I'd be very thankful for any help.

Best regards

Solution
Might in part be the PSU, your rig calls for a good 500 and that TT only has about 450 on the 12 volt rail...also could be settings 1.38 is way to high vCore

So my PSU would be all good with 100% CPU, GPU and RAM usage while running all benchmarks at higher clock but fails in Arma 3 with ~40% of CPU, GPU and RAM usage? More resources usage stands for more power consumption so i dont think thats the issue. I tried 1.38V as the final proof that it isnt Vcore issue. Thanks for the answer.

It happens every time I OC my CPU and play games so it happened like 20+ times. It takes 10min to few hours to crash/freeze. Zero problems with stock clock. After PC freeze/crash i have to turn off my PC with power button (hold it for a moment) restart doesnt work, Windows doesnt respond, PC is completely frozen and i hear loud buzzing sound. After i turn on PC again right after that everything is perfectly fine and im getting no error messages. Also im having no issues with overclocked GPU to 1500 MHz (1380MHz stock).

And another BSOD with OC in Fallout 4: DPC Watchdog Violation. My PC goes full out. In last week i also experienced these BSOD's: "Machine Check Exception" and "kmode exception not handled""
