I have a Gigabyte GA-990FXA motherboard with 2X4GB of G.Skill Sniper memory. I am wanting to upgrade my memory with 2X8GB of G. Skill Sniper Series Ram. Is it possible to use all four sticks at the same time for 24 GB? The 4gb sticks are DDR3-1600 and the 8gb are DDR3-2133.

Solution
Possibly, but don't count on it, any time you mix packages of DRAM it's a crapshoot, might play might not, mixing with different freqs, timings, voltages all make it harder (as does trying with an AMD rig, their MCs (memory controllers are weaker than Intels) - I wouldn't mess with it. But if you get the 2x8GB set and it will be enough, won't hurt to try and see if they will play ;)
