need a windows 8 disk/usb/files for a clean install

I have a HP envy with windows 8.1 on it but virus corrupted OS so im saving files and reinstalling the OS. I don't have a disk to do this from or even a folder to install from usb.

where do I get this?

I have a windows 10 home and pro install file and a windows 7 all versions file, but understand I cant put 10 on unless I get the 8 installed first then upgrade to 10 and have that different 10 key.

if there is a way through Microsoft to get the install folder free or place to torrent it that would help me a ton!

There might be a recovery partition in your HDD which contains all files needed for that. There should be some sort of way to launch recovery utility which will do the job.

so boot into the hp recovery method thingy and do a fresh install from there? never looked to what options are in that recovery partition. usually just formatted them but luckily this one still has the factory info on it.

can I copy that recovery partition to make a windows 8 usb for other pc's?

once I upgrade to windows 10 and have that new key generated for that specific mobo can I re-install win 10 without pluging in that key and when connected to internet it will find that mobo is registered and make windows genuine?

im going to write down the windows 10 key anyway using blark to find it or something like that, just wondering.

recovery partition is only for your PC. I recommend to just use recovery partition and then just do the free upgrade, it's easiest way to be 100% sure.

how come when I reinstalled windows 10 pro to my desktop via USB it required me to put in the key that I used belark advisor to find. this key was different than the key I used to install windows 7 pro from.

so can I make a install disk/usb from when I have win8 fully installed from the booted partition to use on all computers?

Take Windows 8 cd -> make iso -> write iso to usb

so without having that dvd first there is no way is what im hearing.
