Hello i am in a need of a good and reliable HDD for normal daily usage like games/movies/music.

At this moment i am using a intel SSD 250gb for my system and 2x500gb samsungs for other stuff. The problem is that both of the HDD'S are only 5400 so i wanted to change them to one TB
maybe 2 that is 7200.

I am willing to spend 100$ maybe 120-130 on that HDD.

I want to avoid WD as i read some forums and i see a lot of ppl having problems with them.

Is there a good samsung model or segate that you could recommend to me?!.

1) STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG HDD's. They are not made by Seagate and honestly they are crap. I had two 2TB Samsung drives before they sold it to Seagate and they were awesome drives

2) I'm a WD guy. I ONLY buy WD when it comes to hard drives (Unless it is enterprise class drives in which I get the Seagate Enterprise drives because that is what all my Dell Servers ship with) but otherwise I Stick to WD, more so the WD Blacks which have a 5 year warranty and honestly I have never had one of them die on me.

For SSD's I'm very much Pro Samsung.

I would get a WD Black 1-2 TB. Most of us here would probably reccomened that too. Also be careful of where you get it. Places like Newegg and Amazon make sure they come DIRECTLY from amazon or newegg or some other good online seller and not someone one else selling on one of those sites.

Yes i did check some reviews for WD BLACK today and it was mostly positive as far as a HDD can go. I just want it to be solid enough so i can play games on it without any problems. Would you be so kind as to write the model number of a WD BLACK i should check out and prob buy?. Or is every WD BLACK 1TB the same in speces assuming 7200 disk speed.

I also noticed that some stores in my country only sell it with a 2 year warranty even tho it's supposed to be 60 Months lol...

Ty very much for help. Gonna pick up this model this week and give it a good, checked some reviews of it and they were very positive about that model.
Not to mention the 5 year warranty is a big plus.
For me that drive will be around 100$ but i still think it will be a good investment.

haha yea as far as hard drives go the WD Blacks are very good. I honestly have never had a Black fail on me. I don't think I have ever had one DOA. I mean don't get me wrong i have had DOA drives from WD before but not the Blacks and honestly to me you can't really count a DOA aginst it to much only because its not like you used the drive and failed 6 months down the line lol just gotta send it back and get a new one.

Maybe in Us the warranty system works better than in Poland. I rememebr once a monitor i bought failed on me and i had to waith a very long time before i got a new one, and since then i am always afraid of having probelms with anything i buy.

Before you buy anything most companies will bullshit you and promise mountans and rivers of gold. But once something goes wrong is when the problems starts for you:D with the warranty system.
Or i am just unlucky hehe
