Should I use 4 pin or 8 pin power connector i5 4690

Hi All,

I recently upgraded my System with

i15-4690
Asus h97 m
Collermaster 600w PSU
GTX 960 2GB

My question is that Both my MB and PSU has 8-PIN CPU Power connector. should i go ahead and use 8-PIN with i5-4690 or split the cable and use it as 4PIN only.

I highly doubt, that your system will start, if you only put a 4pin onto an 8pin.

You should definitely use 8 pin in 8 pin mobo. Why would you use only 4 pin?

It probably would run with just the 4 pin , but you should always use the full 8 for best performance.

When you have the 8 pin , you use it.
