I already bought my new motherboard which is perfect for all my other hardware, but I am unsure about the current RAM i'm using. I'm currently rocking 2x4GB 800 MHz and my new motherboard supports only 1066-3000 MHz. So to the question i am asking, Do I need new RAM and what MHz should I get? Thanks for the responds i'm in a pickle atm.

Nice, you have 1600MHz DDR3 memory, which your new motherboard supports.(this) Don't worry about the 800MHz. (DDR stands for Double Data Rate, so you have to multiply by 2 to get the applied frequency.)

Since your ram is DDR3, I highly doubt their applied frequency is 800MHz. If CPU-Z says 800Mhz, then this is not the applied frequency. You have to multiply by 2 (DDR stands for Double Data Rate) to find the total frequency, so it would be 1600MHz which is supported by your motherboard.

Whats the exact name of your memory?

I actually do not know for sure my memory name because I purchased a Alien ware x51 R2, but according to 3dmark I have 2x4GB of "4,096 MB Samsung DDR3 @ 800 MHz"
