So I'm working on overclocking my processor and ironing out the kinks before I do a full 12 hour stress test. I followed all the amd bulldozer overclocking guide settings and set my cpu to 4.6ghz, now at 4.5ghz it had a steady vcore of 1.332 under load. At 4.6 I had to up the voltage, but every time I put it under load the vcore goes up exactly 2 increments. So I stop and increase vcore only to run another test and watch it jump again.

My question is should I leave my vcore be and just run the stress test? Or keep adjusting until it doesn't fluctuate? I'm currently at 1.356 vcore, it's jumping to 1.368 during the stress test but no errors so far, cpu at 50C

That's llc pushing the voltage up a little under load.

In all fairness at 4.7ghz anything under 1.4v means you've got a great chip & a good board.

12 hour stress test ?? Crazy talk mate , 2 hours absolute max is all you need.
If cores are gonna fail they'll fail within that time frame.

I think I do have a great chip based on my searches around. How much of a jump is too much?

Also yeah honestly I was gonna do a 6 hour test I just didn't want this to become a debate over how long I should stress test for haha
