Hello,
I have had the 980 ti amp extreme for a few months now, and recently upgraded my ram, cpu and motherboard to the new ddr4/skylake series. I would like to do dual sli with this card (when the other one is bought) but I need to know if,

a) it will fit/there is enough room in the case

b) there are enough pci express slots for it.

This is my case: https://www.nzxt.com/products/phantom-white The original phantom case, not the 440, etc.

And this is the motherboard I just got: https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/Z170-A/

If it doesn't, any suggestions?

Any help is VERY much appreciated! :)

Thanks.

So I took a picture of my case, looking more closely and measuring, it might be a problem. The PSU seems to be in the way, I might have to find a way to remove the stuff on the right, move it over, or just buy a new Case.

It will not interfere with the PSU. For SLI, you have to use the first two PCI-E x16 slots. That bottom slot is only for 3x Crossfire. Problem is, your card appears to be blocking that particular slot. Due to the size of that heatsink, I do not think SLI is possible, with that card, on that board. Even if slot is not being blocked, the top card may not get much air.

Are you sure? The bottom slot is a 16x pci express slot as well from what it reads on the actual motherboard. They go in order of the top one being 16x1, the middle one (blocked) being 16x2 and the bottom being 16x3, so would it not work on the bottom slot?
