Best graphics card for fx 8350

Hey guys I'm trying to decide on which gpu to pair with my fx 8350. It's overclocked to 4.6ghz,I have 16gb 1600 cl9 ram and a more than adequate psu.

I'm looking into the $400 price range, mainly the r9 390, 290, and gtx 970. Also considering the 980 if it's worth the extra money.

Initially I had settled on the r9 390 but started reading about bottlenecks, I'm not too worried about a bottleneck anymore as my chip seems to perform better than other 8350s but I'm open to personal experiences and opinions

I would not worry about any bottlenecks. that chip can keep up. I would go for a R9 290X, it is slightly better than a 390, adn you do not need that exta 4GB of VRAM. Either that or a 970, as a 980 is not worth it. 970s are nice cards, but the R9 290X could beat it out at some games especially if you play at 1440p.

Looking on amazon it seems like the 390 is actually cheaper than the 290x, so I'd say my two options are the 970 or the 390. I play at 1080p so based on what you said should I just go with the 390 over the 970? What about the r9 fury over both of them? I know it's out of my price range but I could always wait another check



So which would you recommend?

You know what I don't know why I even asked, I've done so much searching around I've seen your name a lot and that you recommend the r9 390 nitro lol, it was my first choice so I think it was just meant to be
