Hi Guys,

I've recently been playing MGSV and completed 5 missions, and a few side quests, now when I attempt to play my PC always turns off after about 1min of gameplay. I think it may be overheating, not sure if its the CPU or the GPU and I was hoping for a little help.

I was playing with everything on max up until this point but now it has issues continuing and i cant even play at all!

Here is my dxdiag 32bit: http://pastebin.com/psWyy00h
and my dxdiag 64 bit: http://pastebin.com/4rHDA8SS

My PC specs:

Processor : AMD FX(tm)-6100 Six-Core Processor 3.3 GHz
Video Card : AMD Radeon (TM) R7 370 Series Graphics 4GB
Memory : 8.0 GB
Operating System : Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Power Supply: ZS series 650W
Cooling: 3 internal fans, 2 on front of pc, one on back, and the GPU has one on it too.

I've just checked and all my drivers are up to date, let me know if you need any information at all and i will respond as soon as I can.

I have previously posted here on TomsHARDWARE when I had issues with a broken graphics card, however the issue was resolved, by turning off the boost thing on BIOS, but just incase this could be related, here is the previous topic: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2805435/crashing-game-replacing-broken-graphics-card.html, however this is really the first time ive had this issue.

Holy crap, are you over clocking at all? It looks like you have a stock cooler. You may...

If you have two monitor you can monitor your temps with Real temp, CPUz, GPUz or trial version of AIDA64 to see how high they get while you play. I'd do that first to see if that's the issue. If you don't have 2 monitors you can use OCCT to run a stress test and see what temps you get. Also what wattage PSU do you have?

Ah, didn't see your PSU already listed. Well after you run the stress tests (you have the option for a CPU or a GPU one) post the high temps. Just shut the test down if you CPU goes over 80 or if the GPU goes over 95. Since the GPU test is furmark it may well go over 95. If that happens you can try running valley or heaven benchmarks instead but they are kinda large file downloads.

Here is the results of my 'GPU : 3D' test with shader sets set to 7 and fullscreen 1080p: http://imgur.com/a/bnGLI
It seemed okay, i ran it for 10mins and it didnt go over 65deg, as you can see on http://i.imgur.com/oL9SqBF.png

My CPU one however i ran it and it went up really fast and hit 80 at which i turned it off after 36 seconds.

Here are the results of my 'CPU: OCCT' on 64bit with large data sets: http://imgur.com/a/yceEc

The temp graph can be seen here where it shot up quite fast: http://i.imgur.com/t2085YW.png

Any further information you could give would be great, or anyone else who looks at this post, let me know what you think.

Holy crap, are you over clocking at all? It looks like you have a stock cooler. You may want to get an aftermarket one. You could do well with a hype 212 evo. Normally found for under 35 dollars shipped. As far that seems to be what the issue is pointing at.

I dont think im overclocking, im not sure dont really know what it means, everything ihave is set to default settings right now, and yeah i do have a default cooler, i might look into it, this would replace the fan on my cpu right?
