I recently went out and upgraded quite a few parts on my computer: graphics, ram, and a new PSU... The card has worked great and has been an amazing step-up from my Radeon Sapphire 7770. Unfortunately, after install and all of the drivers installed (which I'm not 100% sure I did correctly), I started getting the Blue screens. They're rare, occurring maybe once or twice a day. I finally got smart to it and took a picture of the most recent one. The error code says:

The Video Memory Manager has encountered an unexpected fatal error.

Etc, etc...

Technical Information: Stop: 0x0000010E (0x0000000000000025, 0xFFFFF8A00D920010, 0XFFFFF8A00D963C70, 0x0000000000000000)

I'm officially at a loss for what I should do to diagnose this. I'm not sure if it's the driver or the card in question. If it is the card, I'm not sure if I can even still return it to the store I bought it from. Please help! I can give further information if required.

System build specs:

New Card: MSI Radeon r9 390x
New PSU: Rosewill Quark-850, 850W - Modular

Unfortunately the error codes are not much help, we would need a full crash log.

Download MSI Afterburner and closely monitor your temperatures (CPU and GPU) after a good 30 minutes or so of playing.

If your GPU/CPU temperatures are spiking above 80c or so, that's bad. This means your hardware is shutting down the PC to prevent hardware damage.

If your temperatures are fine, try fully clearing your drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller and installing them again fresh.

Where would I find said crash logs? and I have MSI Afterburner installed, so I'll have that launched.

That can change based on your Windows install.

For Windows 7:
The log file should be %systemroot%\Minidump which is normally C:\windows\Minidump ;)

If the files don't exist then setup your system to record them ;-

  • Go to Start and type in sysdm.cpl and press Enter
    Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Startup and Recovery Settings button
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump << where your .dmp files can be found later
Click OK twice to exit the dialogs, then reboot for the changes to take effect.

Okay, so I found two files
one from my last crash and one from two days ago...How would I post the .dmp to this message?

you have to put the dump file on a server like microsoft onedrive, mediafire,... share them with the public and post a link.

for this type of error, I would be looking at overclocking software, power problems, heat problems assuming you are not using a old build of windows. IE you have at least windows 7 SP1 or above.
