Excessive RAM Useage

So I have been experiencing something strange lately with my new build. I set up my build with 16 Gb RAM (2x8) on Win 10. I notice that my RAM usage when the computer is idling is extremely high. Rainmeter and task manager both say that I am using about 78-80% of my RAM when the system is idling. This useage of RAM is constant from boot up to hours after operation once I have open, ran, and closed different programs/apps. I opened task manager and calculated the data usage of the system at various times and according to task manager, my background apps and programs are only consuming approx. 8Mb of memory. So why is 8Mb of memory using nearly 80% of my 16 Gb RAM?

Is this something I should really be concerned about? I understand the idea that "unused RAM is wasted RAM" but this just seems excessive and worries me since my old Win 8 rig was only using about 12% RAM on idle. Aside from this the new build runs great and does everything I want super fast. I haven't seen any performance problems from this issue even when the rig is under heavy load. So I don't know if I am making an issue where there isn't one or if this is something I should look into.

Wow malware would be infortunate, the build is like 2 days old and I haven't been to any "dirty" sites ;) lol. I will install bytes and check that tonight though and get back to you. Thanks!
